North Korea's U.N. Mission said ambassadors of the two countries sent a letter Friday to Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and General Assembly President Miroslav Lajcak requesting that they circulate the ''Panmunjom Declaration on Peace, Prosperity and Reunification of the Korean Peninsula'' as an official U.N. document.
North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and South Korean President Moon Jae-in agreed to the declaration at a summit in the demilitarized zone in Panmunjom on April 27.
North Korea said Friday the request to circulate the document ''shows full determination'' to keep advancing North-South ties. (AP)
