Singer-actor JeongJin-woon will return to the big screen as a rookie cop in the crime action film, "Brother," three months after starring in his first full-length horror film, "Only I Can See."
가수 겸 배우 정진운이 첫 장편 공포영화 ‘나만보이니' 주연으로 출연한지 3개월 만에 범죄 액션영화 ‘브라더'의 신입 형사로 스크린에 복귀한다.
In the upcoming film, Jeong will play the role of Kang-soo, a righteous cop who unexpectedly joins hands with gang boss Yong-sik (Jo Jae-yun). Director Shin Keun-ho, well-known for his previous film, "Romantic Debtors," (2010) directed the flick.
이번 작품에서 정진운은 범죄조직 행동대장 용식(조재윤)과 뜻밖에 손을 잡는 의로운 형사 강수역을 맡게된다. 전작 ‘불량남녀(2010)'로 잘 알려진 신근호 감독이 영화를 연출했다.
"The two characters engage in a mind game as well as show off their fast-moving fight scenes and chase scenes to compel audiences to see through the eyes of Kang-soo or Yong-sik," the production team said.
제작진은 "두 캐릭터는 심리작전은 물론 빠르게 움직이는 격투신, 추격신 등 선보이며 강수와 용식의 눈을 통해 관객들이 볼 수 있도록 했다"고 전했다.
Jeong debuted as a member of the four-member group, 2AM, in 2008 with the ballad, "This Song," which led the group to stardom. The group has released a string of hits, including, "I Was Wrong" and "Like Crazy" (2010).
정진운은 2008년 발라드 4인조 그룹 2AM의 멤버로 데뷔해 데뷔곡 ‘이 노래'로 스타덤에 올랐다. 이 그룹은 '잘못했어'와 '미친 듯이(2010)'를 포함해 여러 개의 히트곡을 발매했다.
He started acting in 2012 through a lead role in the teen series, "Dream High 2." Jeong has starred in several TV series, including "Marriage, Not Dating," (2014) and did voice work for the animated film, "Epic," in 2013.
그는 2012년 10대 드라마 '드림하이2'에서 주연을 맡았다. 정진운은 '연애 말고 결혼(2014)'을 포함해 다수의 TV 시리즈에 출연했으며 2013년 애니메이션 영화 '에픽' 목소리 더빙에 참여한 바 있다.
The 30-year-old actor will next be seen in another film by director Shin, "I Am Here," in which he stars alongside Jo Han-sun, Jung Tae-woo and Noh Susanna.
배우 정진운(30)은 신근호 감독의 또 다른 영화인 '나는 여기에 있다'에서 조한선, 정태우, 노수산나와 함께 출연한다.
"Brother" will hit local theaters in October.
'브라더'는 오는 10월 극장에서 개봉할 예정이다.
