People in France will risk a fine of 135 euros starting Monday for failure to comply with a new decree to wear a mask in public places indoors, the government announced.
프랑스 정부는 국민들이 월요일부터 실내 공공장소에서 마스크를 착용하는 새로운 법령에 따르지 않으면 135유로의 벌금을 물게 될 것이라고 발표했다.
Prime Minister Jean Castex on Thursday said masks will become compulsory in enclosed public spaces from next week in a bid to prevent a second wave of coronavirus infections.
장 카스텍스 프랑스 총리는 목요일 코로나바이러스 감염의 2차 유행을 막기 위해 다음 주부터 밀폐된 공공장소에서 마스크가 의무화될 것이라고 말했다.
Masks are already required on public transport, punishable with a fine of the same amount, in a country that has lost over 30,150 people to the epidemic.
전염병으로 3만150명 이상을 목숨을 잃은 프랑스에서는 이미 대중교통 내 마스크 착용이 의무화되어있고 벌금의 액수도 같다.
On Saturday, the health minister said the new obligation will enter into force on Monday and will apply to shops and supermarkets, covered fresh produce markets, banks and other establishments that receive members of the public.
토요일 프랑스 보건부 장관은 새로운 규정은 월요일부터 시행되며 상점, 슈퍼마켓, 지붕이 덮인 청과물 가게, 은행 및 대중들을 손님으로 받는 기타 업소들에 적용된다고 밝혔다.
And on Sunday, the health department announced contraventions can be punished with a fine of up to 135 euros – almost double the price of a monthly Paris public transport pass. (AFP)
그리고 일요일 프랑스 보건부는 위반행위에 대해 파리 대중교통 월간 이용권 가격의 거의 두 배에 달하는 135유로의 벌금을 부과할 수 있다고 발표했다.
