The biggest draw of the festival is that visitors can enjoy 500-milliliter draft beer and nogari, or dried young Pollack grilled on charcoal briquettes, for only 1,000 won ($0.85) each.
This year 20 pubs, in the alley a few blocks from Euljiro 3-ga Station, are committed to the festival and those who want to enjoy affordable beer and nogari can visit from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday.
The beer and snacks are not the only things to enjoy there as a variety of events have also been planned, such as a beer-chugging competition and a quiz.
The cooperative of nogari pubs will donate the total revenue from the festival to a welfare program run by Jung-gu Office.
