Figure skater Kim Yuna, the 2010 Winter Olympics gold medalist, will marry singer Ko Woo-rim, a member of crossover vocal quartet Forestella.

All That Sports, the agency of Korea's skating legend, and Ko's agency, Beat Interactive, said Monday that Kim, 32, and Ko, 27, will tie the knot "at the end of this October in Seoul."
월요일 김연아의 소속사 올댓스포츠와 고우림의 소속사 비트인터렉티브 측은 32세 김연아와 27세 고우림이 "10월 하순 서울 모처"에서 결혼한다고 전했다.
Adding that the couple has been dating for three years, the agencies noted that the wedding will be held in private. "Kim and Ko met at 'All That Skate' ice show in 2018 when Forestella was invited (to the show) as a guest singer. And after three years in a relationship, they decided to tie the knot," they said.
각 소속사는 이들이 3년 동안 교제했음을 덧붙인 한편 비공개 결혼식을 올릴 것이라고 밝혔다. 소속사는 "김연아와 고우림은 2018년 올댓스케이트 아이스쇼에 포레스텔라가 초청가수로 출연하면서 처음 만나게 됐고, 이후 3년간 교제 끝에 웨딩마치를 울리게 됐다"고 전했다.
"As both Kim and Ko want a wedding ceremony with only family and close friends, the details of the wedding date and venue have not been released and will be kept private from the media. We ask fans and media for their understanding."
"김연아와 고우림 양측은 가까운 친지와 지인들을 모시고 평범하게 결혼식을 올리기를 원한다"며 "결혼식은 비공개로 진행될 예정이라 구체적인 결혼 날짜와 예식 장소를 알리지 않는 점, 많은 팬분과 언론 관계자 여러분의 너른 양해를 부탁드린다"고 전했다.
Nevertheless, immediately after their announcement, there were media reports that the wedding will be held at the Shilla hotel in Seoul on Oct. 22. However, the respective agencies representing the couple did not comment.
그럼에도 불구하고 결혼 발표 직후 10월 22일 서울 신라호텔에서 결혼식을 올린다는 언론 발표가 있었다. 그러나 각 소속사는 이에 대해 언급한 바가 없다.
Kim has been the superstar of the nation's sports circle, coming out of nowhere in Korea's figure skating scene where no Korean figure skater had advanced to the final rounds at world championships.
김연아는 지금까지 그 누구도 세계 선수권 대회 결승전에 진출하지 못했던 피겨스케이팅 분야에서 갑자기 등장한 한국 스포츠계의 슈퍼스타였다.
Becoming involved in figure skating at the age of seven, she dominated the world championships since her junior years and became the first female skater to break the 200-point mark in 2009.
7살 때부터 피겨스케이팅을 시작한 김연아는 주니어 시절부터 세계 선수권을 제패했으며 2009년 세계선수권대회 역대 여자 싱글 사상 최초로 200점을 돌파했다.
She became Korea's iconic figure skater after winning gold in the 2010 Winter Olympics with a world record of 228.56 points. The win made her the first figure skater to win an Olympic medal in Korea.
2010년 밴쿠버 동계올림픽 피겨스케이팅 여자싱글에서 세계최고기록 228.56으로 금메달을 따 한국 피겨선수의 상징이 되었다. 이는 한국 피겨선수 최초의 올림픽 금메달이었다.
