The time for strawberries has arrived for the hotel industry as more and more are keenly hosting luxurious strawberry festivals.
많은 호텔들이 의욕적으로 럭셔리한 딸기 축제를 열면서, 호텔 업계에 딸기의 시대가 도래했다.
Since their debut in 2006, promotions featuring strawberries have established themselves as signature annual events ― particularly for the winter time ― at hotels that are exploring measures to roll out innovative menus amid ever-intensifying competition over the "seasonal" fruit.
2006년 딸기 뷔페가 처음 선보인 이래, 딸기를 주제로 한 프로모션은 '제철' 과일을 주제로하는 경쟁이 심화되고 있는 가운데, 혁신적인 메뉴 출시 방안을 모색 중인 호텔에서 특히 겨울철을 위한 연례 행사로 자리매김했다.
"The strawberry-themed festivals burst onto the scene in the hotel sector after gaining favor from millennials who love to take food photos for social media" said an official of the hotel industry.
호텔 업계의 한 관계자는 "딸기를 주제로한 행사들은 소셜네트워크서비스(SNS)를 위해 음식 사진을 찍는 것을 좋아하는 밀레니얼 젊은 세대의 호응을 얻으면서 호텔 무대에 혜성처럼 등장했다"고 전했다.
"Since then, they have evolved to higher tiers with each hotel inventing new menus to stand out against their rivals" she added.
"이후 각 호텔이 경쟁사들에 맞서 돋보이기 위해 새로운 메뉴를 개발하면서 더 높은 수준으로 진화했다"고 그녀는 덧붙였다.
Starting Saturday, the Grand Walkerhill Seoul will hold its Very Berry Strawberry promotion that is scheduled to run till April 28 at its lobby lounge, the Pavilion. It will be available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday during the period.
그랜드워커힐 서울 호텔은 토요일부터 4월 28일까지 로비 라운지 '파빌리온'에서 '베리 베리 스트로베리' 프로모션을 연다. 이 기간 동안 금요일, 토요일, 일요일에 이용할 수 있다.
On the occasion of its 12th anniversary, the property will add 21 new items to the menu, making the total 45, including three new expensive dishes ― foie gras, caviar and truffles.
12주년을 맞아 그랜드워커힐 서울은 푸아그라, 캐비어, 트뤼플 등 세 가지 고가의 메뉴를 포함한 21개의 신 메뉴를 추가하여 총 45개의 메뉴를 선보인다.
For those who may get fed up with strawberry-themed food, chefs at its live station will cook 14 dishes on the spot.
딸기를 주제로 한 음식이 질리는 사람들을 위해, 라이브 스테이션에서 요리사들이 14개의 즉석 요리를 만들어 준다.
