Defender Eric Dier scored a dramatic winner in his Tottenham debut as the Spurs escaped with a 1-0 win at West Ham in their English Premier League season debut.
But Dier's late strike wasn't the most memorable play of the game. With the game tied at 0-0 midway through the second half, a fan appeared from nowhere, ran the length of a pitch and curled a free kick set up for the Spurs' Christian Eriksen while being chased by stadium security.
It wasn't a bad effort at all. The ball floated above the wall of defenders and coaxed a save from West Ham goalkeeper Adrian, who fidgeted before getting a read on the ball. Adrian was more comfortable with Eriksen's consequent effort, which sailed over the bar.
The pitch invader was eventually caught and dragged away. Although you call it a "free" kick, this apparently doesn't mean anyone can take it.
