Korea Grand Sale is returning for its 10th edition along with unprecedented large-scale promotions including air and hotel fare discounts for foreign tourists.
외국인 관광객들을 위한 항공료와 호텔 요금 할인을 포함해 전례 없는 대규모 프로모션과 함께 10번째 코리아 그랜드 세일이 돌아온다.
The annual comprehensive festival of shopping, tourism and culture, cohosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and the Visit Korea Committee to encourage more foreigners to visit, exclusively provides them with benefits in various sectors such as flights, accommodation, shopping, entertainment and food.
더 많은 외국인들의 방문을 장려하기 위해 문화체육관광부와 한국방문위원회가 공동으로 주최하는 쇼핑, 관광, 문화의 연간 종합 축제는 외국인 관광객들에게 비행, 숙박, 쇼핑, 오락, 음식 등 다양한 분야의 혜택을 독점적으로 제공한다.
The 2019 Korea Grand Sale is scheduled for Jan. 17 through Feb. 28 next year in Seoul and major area nationwide.
2019 코리아 그랜드 세일은 내년 1월 17일부터 2월 28일까지 서울과 전국 주요 지역에서 열릴 예정이다.
"The Korea Grand Sale is not just a simple tourism promotion for the experience of shopping but the experience of various aspects of Korean culture and food," Han Kyung-ah, the secretary-general of the committee, said at a press conference in Seoul, Monday.
한경아 이 위원회 사무총장은 월요일 서울에서 가진 기자회견에서 "코리아 그랜드 세일은 쇼핑 경험만을 위한 단순한 관광 홍보가 아니라 한국 문화와 음식의 다방면 경험"이라고 말했다.
"As foreign people's participation in the Korean economy is increasing, we will use this event to expand the scale of tourism and revenue generation in Korea that will eventually influence the domestic economy."
"한국 경제에 대한 외국인들의 기여가 증가함에 따라, 우리는 이 행사를 활용하여 지역 경제에 영향을 미치는 관광과 수익창출을 확대할 것이다."
The secretary-general made it clear that the Korea Grand Sale is different from events that are mainly focused on retail sales.
한경아 사무총장은 코리아 그랜드 세일은 주로 소매 판매에 중점을 둔 행사들과는 다르다는 점을 분명히 했다.
"The Korea Grand Sale provides various deals in shopping, flight tickets, hotels, beauty products, food and entertainment," she said.
"코리아 그랜드 세일은 쇼핑, 항공권, 호텔, 미용 제품, 음식, 오락에 있어서 다양한 거래를 제공한다"고 그녀는 덧붙였다.
