The prosecutors are seeking fines of 1 million won each.
FNC Entertainment, Lee's management agency, had filed complaints against four Internet users with the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office in December.
Prosecutors in Suwon, Gyeonggi Province, investigated rumors about a prostitution ring involving female entertainers late last year. Although prosecutors discovered a sex-trade network involving 12 entertainer trainees, businessmen and brokers, they did not find any link to high-profile entertainers such as Lee.
Despite this, the indicted Internet users continued to write on online message boards and social media claiming that Lee was a central figure in the prostitution ring.
"We will continue to take a hard stance against cyber bullies spreading lies on the Internet," FNC Entertainment said in a statement. "We will chase and identify everyone who should be held accountable."
