Kim Tae-woo, 30, a member of g.o.d., one of the original K-pop boy bands, is marrying Kim Ye-ri 29, a researcher, at Sheraton Walkerhill Hotel, Seoul, on Dec. 26. The couple is also expecting a baby next May according to the agency Kim Tae-woo founded early this year, Soulshop Entertainment.
The couple has been dating for about one and a half years. The bride-to-be Kim is studying at the graduate school of Life Sciences at Ewha Womans University and working as a researcher at Seoul National University’s Life Sciences Department.
Kim broke the news in a letter he posted on his fan club website on Tuesday, saying “she has always supported me. I became convinced that I want to have a happy family with her.”
G.o.d. debuted with five members, Kim Tae-woo, Son Ho-yong, 31, Danny Ahn, 32, Park Joon-hyung, 42, and Yoon kye-sang, 32, in 1999 with the immensely popular track “Dear Mother.” Yoon left the group in 2004 to pursue a career as an actor. In 2005, the group disbanded after the release of its seventh album “Into the Sky.”
