A Busan kindergarten allegedly forced two toddlers to take turns hitting each other to punish them for fighting.

Enraged parents then barged into the kindergarten and began beating the teacher, until police separated them.

Parents claim that the teacher, 30, whose name was not revealed, frequently pushed the children and denied them meals for hours for such simple things as failing to say good morning.

After one parent reported the allegedly abusive behavior to police, the kindergarten president made tried and failed to destroy security camera records.

The footage, revealed to parents on July 11, shows a woman who appears to be the teacher, abusing the children on several occasions. In one scene, she seems to be forcing two toddlers to face each other moments before they begin to hit one another.

The video also shows three other female teachers hitting children on the buttocks or pushing them in the face.

Shortly after the video was shown, several parents dragged the teacher who forced the children to hit each other by her hair and assaulted her. Last Wednesday, another parent entered the kindergarten with a wooden sword and threatened to kill the teachers involved. Two female teachers who tried to stop him were taken to the hospital after fainting.

Busan's Gijang district police have requested an arrest warrant for the teacher who forced the children to hit each other and booked the other three teachers in the video without detainment. The allegations cover conduct since May 23, police said.
