Q: Can you tell me how to query an incorrect bill of my health insurance subscription?

A: You can contact the National Health Insurance Corporation (NHIC) regarding wrong subscription fees. The contact number is (02) 3270-9663/ 9344/9184 and the English help line is (02) 390-2000 or visit www.nhic.or.kr.

Q: My husband has a D-8 investor's visa, and I have an E-7 with my Korean company. I have Korean national medical insurance, but he doesn't. Could you please advise on how he can get medical insurance? I was told that if he has a spouse visa, I could get him insurance through my work, but since he is the boss of his own company, the procedure is different. He's perfectly healthy, and doesn't need to see a doctor, but I'd like him to be covered ``just in case.''

A: In the case of a married couple who have different employers, both spouses need to carry their own health insurance.

The procedure, for an E-8 visa holder, to obtain Korean national health insurance is to bring the following documents to the regional National Health Insurance Corporation office.

An income statement or any documents that can show the person's income; a copy of his alien registration card.

For more information, please contact the National Health Insurance Corporation's English help-line at (02) 3270-9836.

Q: I am new to Seoul and am looking for a health club or fitness center to join, preferably one that offers group classes in English as well as the standard aerobic machines and weights.

I live near Sangsu station on subway line 6, so I'm looking for a place nearby or in the Hongik University area. I would also considering joining a gym near my workplace in Yongsan (very close to the Yongsan Post Office). Do you know of any health clubs in these areas? Also, do you know in which areas the Bally Total Fitness clubs are located?

A: The following are some of fitness centers in the areas that you mentioned.

Hotel Sekyo Fitness (near the exit 5 of Hongik University Station, (02) 324-5494, www.hotelseokyo.co.kr)

Swash Fitness (near exit 2 of Hongik University Station, (02) 3143-0220, www.swash.co.kr)

Samwon Fitness (near from Grand Hyatt Hotel, (02) 795-9966)

Body GYM (near exit 2 of Itaewon Station, (02) 796-6526)

Bally Fitness (Mullae Station, (02) 2633-5008, www.ballyasia.com)

Q: Are there any Web sites or shops in Seoul that rent fancy dress costumes?

A: Such Web sites are www.hicharacter.com, www.dressup.co.kr, www.hellowshop.com, and www.sexycospre.com.

The Seoul Global Center, operated by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and its Seoul Business Agency, is a one-stop service center that provides a wide range of support services for foreign residents of Seoul, including daily living conditions, how to cope with official regulations, business needs and cultural exchange activities.
