Kensington Jeju readied for Lunar New Year package

The Kensington Jeju Hotel is offering a promotion for those who want to enjoy their Lunar New Year holidays on the southern resort island of Jeju.

The Holiday in Jeju package is available from Feb. 1 to 6 as the nation is scheduled to begin a five-day holiday on Feb. 2.

The promotion also allows two adults and one child to eat for free at its Jeju traditional restaurant, while a wine selection party is also available for two people.

Online booking additionally gives a 30,000 won ($27) discount per day.

Gyeongwonjae Ambassador's Sura picked among top 3 restaurants by foreigners

Sura, a Korean restaurant at the Gyeongwonjae Ambassador Incheon in Songdo, was selected as one of the top three restaurants that foreign nationals want to visit.

The Visit Korea Committee conducted a two-week poll from Nov. 30 asking which restaurants foreigners wanted to visit among 73 dining facilities at local hotels. Sura, meaning “royal cuisine” in Korean, provides meals ranging from a la carte to full course.

“Sura is the only Korean cuisine restaurant among the three,” the hotel official said. “We are set to contribute to promoting Korean food to the world.”

Millennium Hilton presents cooking class package

The Millennium Seoul Hilton is offering a special room package for families with children, under which children aged seven to 13 can participate in a cooking class at its Italian restaurant Il Ponte.

The class will be held every Friday from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. until Feb. 22.

The package includes one-night accommodation in a deluxe city-view room and a complimentary buffet breakfast for two adults and one child.

The promotion is only available to Korean citizens or foreigners who have an alien registration card.

Grand Hyatt comes with New Year package

The Grand Hyatt Seoul is providing a New Year “staycation” opportunity in its Happy New Year package.

It offers a one-night stay in a standard room with river views, a welcome in-room gift of wine and cookies, and a 20 percent discount at Jo Malone located in the hotel.

Guests also receive complimentary access to the hotel's fitness center and indoor swimming pool.
