Actress Kim Go-eun confirmed that she will team up with the director of the popular series, “Vincenzo,” in her next tvN drama, “Little Women.”

Directed by Kim Hee-won, “Little Women” is a drama that revolves around the lives of three sisters, each determined to live life on her own terms.

The script is written by Jeong Seo-kyeong, well known for her frequent collaborations with acclaimed director Park Chan-wook, including “Sympathy for Lady Vengeance” (2005), “Thirst” (2009) and “The Handmaiden” (2016). Her latest work was the screenplay for tvN's drama, “Mother” (2018).

Kim takes on the role of Oh In-joo, who works tirelessly to help her family climb out of poverty. Her only dream is to live a comfortable life, but her world is turned upside down by a major incident.

The production noted, “Kim, an actor so convincing in any role she plays, will show off her whole new side in the upcoming series.”

Kim debuted in 2012 with the film, “A Muse.” Since then, she has appeared in many hit dramas including the tvN drama series, “Guardian: The Lonely and Great God” (2016), and the SBS drama series, “The King: Eternal Monarch” (2020). After starring in the first season of tvN's romance drama, “Yumi's Cells,” Kim will reprise her role in the second season, which will premiere in 2022.

Actress Nam Ji-hyun will play the second-eldest sister, Oh In-kyung, an upright journalist who doesn't sell her soul for money. Given her easy charm and enthusiasm, Nam will portray a strong and independent woman who stands up for what's right.

The actress, who spent more than 10 years as a child actress in dramas, including most notably in “Queen Seondeok (2009),” appeared in hit dramas such as, “100 Days My Prince” (2018) and “365 Repeat the Year” (2020).

Actress Park Ji-hu plays the youngest, Oh In-hye, a gifted painter who pursues art with the help of her two elder sisters.

The rising actor won multiple accolades for her role in the film, “Hummingbird” (2019), including awards for best new actress in the Blue Dragon Awards and the Korean Association of Film Critics' Awards.

Apart from three characters, “Squid Game” star Wi Ha-jun is in talks to play the male lead in the drama. He is currently starring in tvN's drama, “Bad and Crazy.”

“The lives of three sisters become intertwined after facing a major life-changing event. Viewers will be able to relate to the story of those who are each determined to live life on her own terms,” the production team said in a statement.

“Little Women” is scheduled to air on tvN next year.
