K-pop megaband BTS is now venturing into the art world.
'CONNECT, BTS' is a global public art project in collaboration with BTS, involving 22 artists across five cities: London, Berlin, Buenos Aires, Seoul and New York.
"Living as an Asian female new media artist away from home in London, I always considered myself a minority. However, the rise of BTS gave me thrills because it proved anyone can achieve mainstream success. I reflected in my work what I felt observing this BTS phenomenon through the lense of an artist," the project's only Korean artist Kang Yi-yun said during a media event for the Seoul leg of CONNECT, BTS on Jan. 28.
