BLACKPINK's music video of “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” has broken the K-pop girl group's previous record for the most YouTube views.

The group's agency, YG Entertainment, announced Sunday that the music video surpassed 1.3 billion YouTube views at around 10 p.m. Saturday, becoming the second K-pop act to reach that milestone only after PSY.

The title song of the group's first mini-album “Square Up” has attracted a massive YouTube audience since its release in June 2018. It reached 700 million views in March 2019 and continued to 1.1 billion this March.

The four-member group ― Jenni, Lisa, Rose, and Jisoo ― has been garnering international popularity as it worked with world stars such as Lady Gaga and Selena Gomez this year.

The group now has more than 47 million subscribers to its official YouTube channel ― the highest among the female artists in the world and the third-highest of all, after Justin Bieber and Marshmello.

Last month, BLACKPINK released a single “Ice Cream” in collaboration with Gomez. The song has topped various music charts including the iTunes chart.
