The Chinese film “Double World” ― starring Chinese-Canadian K-pop star Henry Lau ― will be released on local video platform iQIYI on July 24, Lau's agency Monster Entertainment said Tuesday.
Monster unveiled the movie's poster featuring the star.
“Lau will display dramatic action scenes,” the company said in a statement. “While he was shooting the movie in 2018, he tried hard to stay fit amid hectic schedules to carry out his role successfully.”
Lau is also set to release a song for the movie's soundtrack.
“Double World” is an action fantasy movie based on the namesake online game. Teddy Chan, known for his historical action movie “Bodyguards and Assassins” (2009), directs the film.
Lau debuted in 2008 as a member of K-pop act Super Junior M and went solo in 2013 with his track “Trap.”
