Korea Times President and Publisher Oh Young-jin

Oh Young-jin, director of content and digitization at The Korea Times, is the newspaper's new president and publisher.

Born in 1964, Oh graduated from Inchang High School, and then Sungkyunkwan University as a chemical engineering major. He joined The Korea Times in 1988, the same year Seoul hosted the Summer Olympic Games.

He worked at various desks covering politics, business and the city both as reporter and desk editor before becoming managing editor in 2012.

He served as managing editor through 2015, before becoming a chief editorial writer, and then digital managing editor and director of content and digitization.

Oh was also the foreign press secretary for Cheong Wa Dae during the President Roh Moo-hyun administration.

He succeeds outgoing President Lee Byeong-eon.
