A civic group member stages a one-person demonstration against U.S. Ambassador to South Korea Harry Harris near the U.S. Embassy in central Seoul, Friday, for his comments made a day before on President Moon Jae-in's engagement policy toward North Korea. Harris told foreign reporters here that Seoul should act “in consultation with the United States” when it acts on its “optimism” on inter-Korean relations. In response to the remarks, a Cheong Wa Dae official said it was “very inappropriate” for an ambassador to publicly comment on the President's remarks. The Ministry of Unification also said: “The government's North Korea policy comes under the sovereignty of South Korea." Yonhap
