Korea Foreign School (KFS) will hold an open house in Seocho-gu, southern Seoul, beginning 10:30 a.m. Jan. 24.
The open house will be for the parents of students in grades one to 10, who want admission when the new school year begins in August or even anytime during the semesters
The event will be an opportunity for parents and students to meet admission counselors, as well as the principal and vice principal of the school. From 10:30 a.m. to noon, they will be able to see classes in action, learn about the curriculum and get information about International Baccalaureate (IB) courses, a school official said.
"The KFS has a high ratio of teachers to students, so each student receives good care," said Kim Yoon-jin, the marketing manager of KFS.
"It has a very diverse community and respects the needs and concerns of all its students, parents and communities."
In order to be admitted to KFS, a student needs to have at least one parent from a foreign country, or to have lived abroad for at least three years.
KFS is an IB World School fully accredited by the Council of International Schools and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges. It implements a personalized learning program that allows students to arrive at insights about how they learn and improve their critical thinking and creativity. It is introducing flexible classroom environments to support personalized learning.
