Enjoy various performances, a night market and games at the Han River this summer.
Seoul Metropolitan Government is hosting riverside culture programs from late July through early August that can offer an escape from the heat.
On Aug. 1, Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by musical director Chung Myung-whun will perform at Yeouido park from 8 p.m.
On the same day, there will be music from "A Midsummer Night's Dream" by a 16-member orchestra and vocalist at Banpo park's Some Sevit.
Yeouido park will host a two-man play in a makeshift tent theater from July 31 through Aug 2.
There will also be night markets at Yeouido and Banpo parks on the first and third weekends of August, respectively. The markets will offer local produce from eight provinces and cities.
At Ttukseom park, people will be able to play giant-size board games on the first two weekends of August.
Yeouido park will also host a secondhand book festival in the second week of August.
