The "2019 Asia Model Festival FACE of Asia Pacific with MyGenomeBox" was held at the Ruyi Restaurant & Lounge in Kuala Lumpur on May 4.

It was the final round of regional contests ― this time featuring Malaysia, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Macau ― held in 25 Asian countries over the past few months to select the top models who will advance to the "2019 FACE of Asia" final in Seoul next month. Hundreds of models have fiercely vied for the coveted title of Asia's next top model.

FACE of Asia is part of the 14th Asia Model Festival (AMF). The event is slated for June 7-9 in Seoul.

Asia Model Festival Organization Committee chairman Yang Eui-sig, Amber Chia of Amberchia.com and President of FACE of Asia Pacific Lee Sang-hee organized and co-hosted the event. The official sponsor of the event is MyGenomeBox.

Those chosen to represent Malaysia are Chan Lee Xuan, Celine Suen, Jessica Lim, Leaf Yeap, Qi Zheng and Justin Yu. Hong Kong's representatives are Doris Wong and Josh Chiu. Taiwan's winners are Lai Meng Yu and Eddie Tsai, while Natalie Yu and Sam Lam are Macau's representatives.

Among the 11 winners of the Asia Pacific contest, Chan Lee Xuan (Malaysia) and Sam Lam (Macau) clinched the grand final prize.

Winners will be given opportunities to feature in advertisements and more for the event's official sponsor brands.

Countries sending models to compete in Seoul include China, Japan, Mongolia, the Philippines, India, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Nepal, Cambodia, Hong Kong, Macau, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Arabia, Bangladesh and Taiwan.
