CELEBe Korea (President Park Gyung-Beom) and AMFOC (President Yang Eui-Sig) said they have signed a memorandum of understanding on June 1 at the headquarters of Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee in Gangnam, Seoul, to cooperate in launching charity activities and cultivate the culture of giving in Korea.
Asia Model Festival Organizing Committee (AMFOC), Asia's largest model search platform, is thriving as a symbolic figure of the culture industry and a global content platform to introduce models of Asia.
CELEBe, a video content based donation platform, invites fans (users) in the charity process by having them directly make requests to their favorite celebrities to create video content based on the messages and stories they have sent. This enables celebrities to donate a portion of the profits they have earned from creating the video.
CELEBe provides a platform where fans and celebrities together can start building a healthy donation culture, it also has committed to broadening the donation culture among firms. CELEBe has recently signed a donation pledge to Dawon Cultural Foundation, Child Fund Korea and more, joined by about 800 celebrities Super Junior's Kim Hee-Chul, Girls' Generation's Sunny, and singer Huh-Gak. A number of YouTubers, influencers, and professional sportspeople have also joined the donation drive.
"We have decided to sign a partnership with the anticipation of positive synergetic effects with our models upon CELEBe's charity platform which enables our models to take part in more of these charitable contributions." Yang said.
Meanwhile, CELEBe Korea is now promoting a donation event which gifts all participants a popular Kakao Talk emoticon, Ebichu, as part of a campaign to support malnourished children impacted by COVID-19.
