Queen World Tour Exhibition: Bohemian Rhapsody

Dedicated to one of the world's music legends, this exhibition features the rock band Queen. Formed in 1970, the group went on to release classics such as "Bohemian Rhapsody" and "We Will Rock You." Although only two original members remain, the group is still active today, and has released over 30 albums. Their story was made into a 2018 film, which saw great popularity at the box office. The exhibition, covering four floors of the center, features both their work and personal stories.

Young Korean Artists 2019: Liquid Glass Sea
National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea

This exhibition will display the works of nine young Korean artists. The title, "Liquid Glass Sea" reflects the fluid and uncontainable imaginations of the artists, who represent the art direction in the 21st century. Works depict various themes ranging from societal issues and technology to more abstract concepts. Artists featured are Keem Ji-young, Song Min-jung, Ahn Sung-seok, Yoon Doo-hyun, Lee Eun-sae, Chang Seo-young, Chung Hee-min, Choi Han-eyl and Hwang Sue-yon.

The Museum of OZ

Released in 1939, "The Wizard of Oz" is one of America's most iconic films, as it was one of the first color movies. Revolving around Dorothy, a girl from Kansas, the film follows her on a magical journey through the magical Land of Oz. In order to get home, she must go through a series of obstacles to find the Wizard. Along the way, she befriends the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion who help her while overcoming struggles of their own. At the exhibition, visitors will be able to see still cuts behind the movie production as well as related artwork from various artists.

My Name is Anne of Green Gables

"Anne of Green Gables" is a well-loved novel published in 1908 by Canadian author L.M. Montgomery, and remains of the most famous children's novels to this day. The story is about an 11-year-old orphan called Anne and her adventures after she is sent to live with Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert. Known for her bright red hair, Anne stands out from the crowd and has a vivid imagination and warm heart. The book has been adapted into several films, radio adaptations and stage productions, and continues to inspire children today. At this exhibition, her world will be brought to life, with various artists displaying their different interpretations of Green Gables through art.

Jaime Hayon ― Serious Fun

Born in Madrid, Jaime Hayon is an artist and designer whose vibrant artistic vision has led him to work with some of the world's top brands including Swarovski and Baccarat. He strives to bring together design, renaissance, art and contemporary culture to his work. Hayon is based in Valencia, but also has studios in Barcelona and Treviso. He has won several Elle Decoration International Design Awards and has been recognized by Time magazine as one of the most influential visionaries today. This exhibition will feature his works, ranging from furniture to decorative pieces.

Erik Johansson: Impossible is Possible

Swedish artist Erik Johansson is known for his incredible images, which largely consist of photographs combined with other images, editing and surrealistic elements blended seamlessly together. Rather than taking photographs of real-life moments, he focuses more on portraying concepts and expanding upon his imagination, which he skillfully edits to seem real. He has had multiple exhibitions all throughout Europe. This will be his first in Seoul.

National Geographic Photo Exhibition: Nature's Odyssey

"Nature's Odyssey" is National Geographic's traveling exhibition and features some of the world's most stunning photography. The collection shows how the world's landscape has changed throughout time to be what it is today. It also depicts the deep relationship between nature and humanity, and how the two have coexisted with one another. The exhibition will be divided into five sections: Pale Blue Dot, Great Steps, Open Eyes, Heart to Heart and One Strange Rock, and will show visitors the importance of taking care of our planet.

Winnie the Pooh: Exploring a Classic

Winnie the Pooh fans will be able to visit his world in an upcoming exhibition at the SOMA Museum of Art. Created in 1921 by A.A. Milne, Winnie the Pooh started as a children's book revolving around the toy bear and his friends. Later adapted for film, radio and television, Winnie the Pooh was one of Disney's largest franchises. At the exhibition, visitors will be able to see the creative process behind Winnie the Pooh as well as see the original drawings that led to the legacy that would last generations.

Bernard Buffet

Bernard Buffet (1928-1999) was a French Expressionist painter whose work depicted the real world. Buffet was against abstractionism and even joined an anti-abstraction group, L'homme Temoin. Many of his pieces depict death, culture and politics among other issues. Buffet was an incredibly prolific painter and created over 8,000 pieces throughout his career. He has been featured in many exhibitions all over the world, and was even admitted as a member to the prestigious Academie des Beaux-Arts in 1974.

Fauvism Masterpieces

Fauvism refers to the brief art movement in the early 1900s that focused on the usage and meaning of vibrant colors as expression of emotion. Les Fauves was a group of French artists who practiced this form of art, and included artists Andre Derain (1880-1954) and Henri Matisse (1869-1954), whose works will be featured in this exhibition among others. Fauvism is also seen as a precursor to Cubism, which Pablo Picasso helped develop. Picasso's work will also be featured in this exhibition. A large collection of works from these artists along with many others will be featured in this comprehensive exhibition, showing a pivotal movement in modern art history.

Barbara Kruger: Forever

Barbara Kruger is an American artist whose collages and caption-based pieces have garnered the attention of many. By writing powerful statements in bold print, Kruger has garnered the attention of both art lovers and social activists. Several of her most famous quotes include "Your body is a battleground," "I shop therefore I am," and "You are not yourself." She has been working for over 40 years and has not backed down in the face of controversy. For this particular exhibition, she has created a new piece which visitors will be able to view alongside her other works.

This large-scale exhibition will bring together the works of several of the most prominent artists from the 19th to 21st centuries. Several of them have become legendary figures of art history, influencing generations of art students and curators to this day. The Children's Museum, located in the National Museum of Korea, is an activity-oriented museum where children can appreciate history. The museum exhibits reproductions of artifacts on display in the permanent exhibition hall so as to enable children to gain a deeper understanding of their cultural heritage. Through the exhibition, children can learn about the ways of life and wisdom of people in ancient times through various experiential exhibits. The museum also provides educational programs that allow children to observe and touch cultural artifacts by themselves and develop their interest in history and culture.
