Actor and rapper Yang Dong-geun, 30, was discharged from the military Thursday, after fulfilling over two years of compulsory military service.

Shouting ``victory" three times, Yang looked happy to return to the civilian fold. ``I still cannot believe I am discharged. People tell me it will take a day or so for me to absorb it," Yang said.

Usually not a talkative interviewee, Yang expressed his joy with a self-composed rap song during the interview that took place outside the military building in Yongsan, Seoul.

He entered the military in May 2008, and later moved to the promotion support team at Defense Media Agency for Public Information Services. While there, he took part in putting on stage ``MINE," a musical created to mark the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Korean military.

"It was a real blessing to work on the promotion support team and on the musical," Yang said.

He also said that like any other Korean guy, he enjoyed watching the popular girl groups such as Kara and Girls' Generation.

Yang did not elaborate on his future plans, but the former kid-actor who grew into an established actor and rapper is rumored to be making his comeback with a film.
