Citibank Korea announced on Friday that it hosted an economic outlook seminar for 20 CEOs and CFOs from major multinational companies, to offer insights and help its customers expand their business through the bank's global network and structured finance solutions.
During the seminar held in downtown Seoul, Thursday, Marc Merlino, Citigroup's head of global network banking, along with Stella Choe, Asia Pacific head of global network banking, spoke about the global market outlook and Citibank's various finance solutions.
In particular, they discussed the impact of AI on each industry and how to utilize the upcoming opportunities derived from the technological advance.
"The global economy is rapidly evolving due to developments in AI, which entail both crisis and opportunities. However, Citibank will remain fully committed to its role as a trusted banking partner for our clients despite this challenging environment," Merlino said.
Kim Jin-wook, chief economist at Citibank Korea, explained the second-half economic and FX market outlook for various countries including Korea, the U.S., China and ASEAN. His insights garnered much attention from corporate clients, according to the bank.
"We hosted today's seminar to help our corporate clients seek opportunities to expand their business through Citibank's global network. We will continue to provide corporate clients with various support including access to useful information and solutions they need," an official from Citibank Korea said.
