The event, titled "AIA Real Life: NOW Festival 2014," will be held at the Jamsil Sports Complex Main Stadium Aug. 15-16.
"We are thrilled to present this totally unique music experience in Korea. We want to use music to connect with our customers, so we are bringing something special to Korea," AIA Life Korea CEO Dan Costello said.
The concert comes as part of the insurer's bid to create a sustainable marketing platform in Korea for its "The Real Life Company" brand-positioning campaign.
Launched last year, the campaign reflects AIA's long-term commitment to genuinely engage with its customers and to providing the right solutions through life's challenges and opportunities.
As a life insurer, the company wants to help people with their financial planning so that they can get on with living their lives, Costello added. "We hope people will have fun seeing some of today's finest global music talents right here in the heart of Seoul."
For the event, the Korean unit of the AIA Group will join hands with leading global entertainment company Live Nation, Korea's top management firm YG Entertainment and marketing partner Parallel Media Group.
Along with Lady Gaga and Psy, K-pop sensations such as Big Bang, 2NE1 and Winner will perform at the concert in the city.
It is expected to be another successful live concert for the firm following Justin Bieber's first live concert in Korea last year, as it will feature some of the most influential global artists' performances and one-off collaborative performances that will never be seen anywhere else, the company said.
Tickets will go on worldwide sale starting April 18 through YES24 (ticket.yes24.com) and Gmarket (ticket.gmarket.co.kr).
