Korea Times Forum features Global Investors' ESG Proposals

Korea Times to host Global ESG Forum on Oct. 29

The Korea Times will host the Global ESG Forum, under the theme "Global Investors' ESG Proposals," at the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) building in Seoul on Oct. 29.

The event, designed to propose environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG) investment principles to global investors, is being held in cooperation with the KCCI.

Financial Supervisory Service Governor Jeong Eun-bo will deliver an opening speech on the value and importance of ESG, followed by Korea Investment Corp. (KIC) CEO Jin Seung-ho's keynote speech on key issues for ESG investment.

Two panel discussions will be conducted both online and offline, moderated by McKinsey Senior Partner Richard Lee and The Korea Times President-Publisher Oh Young-jin.

The panelists will include the National Pension Service's Head of Global Responsible Investment & Governance Yi Dong-sub, BNP Paribas Asset Management's Head of Global Client Group Steven Billiet, BlackRock Korea Managing Director Choi Man-yeon, Swiss Re's Korea Branch Head Jonas von Oldenskiold, SK SUPEX Council Vice President Kwon KJ and Shinhan Financial Group Deputy President Park Sung-hyun.

The Korea Times will livestream the forum via its official YouTube channel.
