A mini-reunion of sorts took place among BTS members as a few unannounced guests made a surprise appearance at Suga's concert.
On Sunday, Suga held his “Agust D Tour D-Day, The Final” concert at the KSPO Dome in Seoul, with the event also being livestreamed online through Weverse.
It marked the last leg of Suga's D-Day tour spanning 25 concerts in 10 cities across the globe.
The atmosphere was at a fever pitch as fans celebrated the final event of Suga's world tour, especially as other BTS members showed up to support their friend. In concerts held on Friday and Saturday, Jungkook and Jimin were featured as guests, and on Sunday, RM shared the stage with Suga while J-Hope and Jin were spotted in the audience, both of whom are currently serving in the Korean military.
After performing “People” and “People Pt. 2,” Suga took the mic and expressed his gratitude to J-Hope, who had created the dance choreography for these two tracks. Suga called out his name, and the camera panned to the audience to reveal J-Hope and Jin sitting among the audience, shown on a giant screen as fans started cheering wildly. The pair gave them a soldier's greeting by saluting at the camera.
More surprises were in store for the fans as the concert went on. Suga chose to perform the track “Strange” featuring RM from his solo album “D-2,” and RM in the flesh soon appeared on stage to form a perfect duet with Suga.
After finishing the track, RM expressed his gratitude, saying, “I'm so honored to be a part of Suga's solo journey, which he worked so hard on to make it possible.” Fans noticed that RM had gotten a buzz cut. He jokingly explained, “I have about five or six people asking me about my hair every day. Let me clarify that my haircut has nothing to do with me joining the military. I'll let you know when it's time, so don't you worry. I got this haircut because the weather was too hot.” However, RM did suggest that his enlistment in the military may be imminent, saying his stage with Suga might be his last performance before putting on a uniform.
RM also showcased an unreleased solo track for the first time on Sunday, a tribute to the fans and a mark of his friendship with Suga.
The unexpected guest appearance by BTS members added another layer of excitement to Suga's tour event. Fans are craving for more after Suga announced at the end of the concert that his next performance in Seoul might involve a full reunion with all seven BTS members, eliciting loud cheers from ARMY members in the audience.
