Davichi's Kang Min-kyung to release solo album on Feb. 27

Lead vocalist Kang Min-kyung of pop-ballad duo Davichi will release her first solo album on Feb. 27. It will be her first independent effort 11 years after her debut with Lee Hae-ri.

“Because I Love You” is the lead track, Kang hinted on Instagram on Saturday with the album's teaser.

“My solo album that I have worked on for a long time will soon hit the shelves,” Kang wrote. “It will be a collection of songs that I wrote whenever I got inspiration.”

Kang said she was nervous because it would be the first time she ventures without her long-time partner.

Davichi debuted in 2008 and earned popularity with “Sad Promise” and “8282.”
