Actress Clara will marry her Korean-American boyfriend in a private ceremony on Jan. 6.

Her agency Koreana Clara announced on Thursday that she would wed her businessman fiance in Los Angeles. Only family members will be at the ceremony.

Clara, 35, told a local newspaper that her husband-to-be was a good man on whom she could rely while pursuing a career in the entertainment industry. Not much is known about her husband-to-be other than his age ―- he two years older than her ― and that he is a businessman who grew up in the U.S. The pair is said to have met in the U.S. and to have dated for a year.

She will start her newlywed life in Seoul when she returns on Jan. 14 after a honeymoon in the U.S. The couple will live in Lotte Signiel Residences in Lotte World Tower ― said to house the nation's most expensive homes, with the most luxurious units selling for up to 37 billion won. Lotte Group Honorary Chairman Shin Kyuk-ho lives there.

After the wedding, Clara says she will also continue with her acting career. She is due to start work on a Chinese film late in January.

Clara debuted as a model in 2004 and turned to acting in 2006 through the KBS TV drama "Invisible Man Choi Jang-su." She appeared in various TV commercials and films before she became mired in legal battle with her previous agency in 2014, accusing the CEO of sexually harassing her. The two sides settled the case out of court.
