Grammy-winning pop sensation Dua Lipa is set to return to Korea this December, marking her first solo performance in the country in over six years.
Concert organizer Live Nation Korea announced Wednesday that the English Albanian singer will perform at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul's Guro District on Dec. 4, marking Lipa's second solo concert in Korea.
The upcoming concert will be the singer's third appearance in Korea, as she initially captivated fans at the Incheon Pentaport Rock Festival back in August 2017. This was followed by her debut solo concert at YES24 Live Hall, located in Seoul's Gwangjin District, in 2018.
Gocheok Sky Dome, where Lipa is set to perform, boasts a capacity of 20,000, a notable increase from her previous venue, which held 2,000 attendees, underscoring Lipa's enormous popularity in the country.
This Korea concert comes as part of the singer's upcoming "Radical Optimism" tour, following the release of her eponymous album, May 3. The tour's first leg, spanning Berlin; Pula, Croatia; Nimes, France and London, has attracted significant interest, with all dates selling out promptly.
The Asia leg of Lipa's tour will kick off in Singapore and continue through Indonesia, the Philippines, Japan, Taiwan, Malaysia and Thailand before concluding in Korea.
Tickets for Lipa's concert in Korea will be available through Interpark Ticket starting at noon on June 11.
Lipa made her debut in 2015 with her self-titled album, "Dua Lipa," and rose to international prominence with her 2020 release, "Future Nostalgia." Since then, she has earned impressive musical accolades, including three Grammy Awards and seven Brit Awards.
Her collaboration with K-pop juggernaut BLACKPINK on the hit song "Kiss and Make Up" (2018) further solidified her recognition in Korea.
