The 77-year-old released a letter titled "Thank You!" through his agency on Tuesday, sharing the news of his final performance and retirement.

"Taking one step after another, I've walked this path for over half a century. I never realized how much courage it takes to put down the microphone," Na said in the letter. "I want to follow the profound truth behind the simple saying, 'Leave when the applause is loudest.'"

He also thanked his fans who have supported him over the years.

"The applause and cheers from those who cherished and supported me over the years have given me confidence. Those who criticized and scolded me, whether with reason or without, have served as a wake-up call for humility and diligence."
