No K-pop groups have succeeded in earning nominations for the 2024 Grammy Awards, one of the world's most prestigious music award shows.

A list of nominees was unveiled on the Grammy's official website, Friday (local time), but the roster did not include any K-pop names. High-profile acts like BTS, NewJeans, Stray Kids, Fifty Fifty and Tomorrow X Together (TXT) presented their songs and albums for consideration, but none of them received nominations.

In the case of BTS, all seven members submitted their solo releases in different categories. Jimin, for instance, submitted his single, "Like Crazy," in the song of the year and best music video categories, while Jungkook submitted his solo track, "Seven," for the best pop duo/group performance — the category in which BTS received a nomination in 2020-2022. This category is for new vocal or instrumental duos/groups or collaborative pop recordings, and the 2024 nominees include Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus.

BTS now remains the only K-pop group to ever receive a Grammy nomination.

Established in 1958, the Grammy Awards is a globally-watched event to honor outstanding achievements in the music industry, prioritizing artistic integrity over commercial success.

The 2024 Grammys will feature 94 categories in total, and is scheduled to take place at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Feb. 4.
