A string of new series, from crime thriller dramas to female-oriented stories, are set to roll out in the upcoming month.
Actor Lee Jong-suk is returning to the small screen with MBC's crime series, "Big Mouth," about three years since his last series, "Romance Is a Bonus Book," in 2019. Led by popular director Oh Choong-hwan, whose previous work includes hit series like "My Love From the Star" (2013) and "Hotel Del Luna" (2019), the upcoming series revolves around lawyer Park Chang-ho (Lee), who barely makes a living with his low win rate of about 10 percent.
Despite his struggling career, he has a tendency to boast about himself, earning him the nickname, "big mouth." One day, he takes on the job to defend a client on murder charges. But the case bites him back when he is mistaken as the king of the criminal world, known as Big Mouth.
Entangled in a dark, corrupt world that threatens his life, Chang-ho tries to fight against whoever is behind the case. Singer and actress Im Yoon-ah will play Chang-ho's wife, Go Mi-ho.
The series, for which the premiere date has not yet been released, will also be available through Disney+.
Two female-centric series, "Remarriage & Desires," and "Today's Webtoon," are also scheduled to go to air.

Netflix's new original series, "Remarriage & Desires," set to release on July 15, will follow the story of divorcee Seo Hye-seung (Kim Hee-sun), who plots revenge against her ex-husband's mistress.
Hye-seung's life turns upside down when her husband leaves her and she has to raise her daughter alone. When she comes across the mistress who is responsible for her misery at an exclusive matchmaking agency that caters to the superrich, she tries to take the mistress down.
The series is led by director Kim Jung-min, who helmed the 2014 action series, "Bad Guys."
Actor Choi Daniel is also making a small screen comeback with the workplace drama, "Today's Webtoon," after about four years, since he led the 2018 mystery series, "The Ghost Detective."
"Today's Webtoon," a remake of the Japanese series, "Juhan Shuttai!," is a coming-of-age story of former judo athlete On Ma-eum (Kim Se-jeong).
Judo used to be her life, but after being forced to retire from the sport due to an injury, she goes to work for a webtoon company.
Starting a new career as a webtoon editor, she struggles to adjust to the new environment and the people at the company and has difficulty juggling her tasks in the fast-paced workplace.
The series, led by Cho Soo-won, whose previous work includes the romance series, "Pinocchio," (2014) is scheduled to air on July 29.
Actors Ji Sung and Seo Ji-hye are set to lead a new thriller crime series, "Adamas," which will premiere on July 27.
Led by Park Seung-woo, who led the 2020 fantasy series, "Kairos," the upcoming series follows the story of twin brothers (both played by Ji) who learn that their biological father was framed for murdering their stepfather.
Trying to exonerate their father, the brothers try to hunt down the truth of the case with the help of Hye-soo (Seo).
