K-pop idol Mijoo of the girl group Lovelyz is set to make her solo debut on May 17.
Mijoo's agency, Antenna Company, announced her upcoming album, "Movie Star," with a teaser and a release schedule posted on its official social media channel.
The trailer revealed the title and the logo of Mijoo's latest album, using spotlight and camera shutter effects to create a movie star concept, which will serve as the central theme of the album as Mijoo taps into everyone's childhood dream of becoming an actor.
In the run-up to the album's release, a series of teaser content will be released over the coming days, including photos, the track list, a music video teaser and a free listening video. Mijoo's recently-launched official YouTube channel will also release a three-part behind-the-scenes video series starting on May 2, chronicling her career from her debut to her transformation into a movie star for the upcoming album.
Mijoo debuted with the girl group Lovelyz in 2014, making a name for herself not only as a singer, but also as a popular TV personality over the years. Fans are eagerly waiting to learn more about Mijoo's new identify as a solo artist in her upcoming album, being released nine years after her initial debut with Lovelyz.
Mijoo's solo album, "Movie Star," is scheduled to be released on May 17.
