Famous boy band BTS member Suga said he sleeps only about three hours per night, in a surprise confession on a YouTube talk show streamed on April 11.

“The last five to six years, I didn't sleep more than three hours per night,” Suga said on the online talk show “Pinggyego” on DdeunDdeun's YouTube channel. “As an idol group member, I've developed a habit of sleeping a short amount whenever I find time throughout the day. As we're always so busy and spend lots of time waiting, I carry a mat and unroll it to sleep while waiting.”

Debuted in 2013, the seven-member boy group has become a global sensation. Suga's solo album “D-Day” will be released on April 21 and he is expected to embark on a solo tour around the world. Suga also runs his own YouTube talk show called “Shuchita.”

Suga also revealed some of his eating habits, “I eat twice a day: at dinner and a late-night snack.”

The star elaborated that his father pushes him to eat more regularly due to concerns over his son's health.

“My dad believes eating three meals a day is very important. But I don't eat breakfast and lunch. He warns me this will ruin my health,” Suga said, adding that he is in the best physical condition of his life.

Suga also recalled his training period before his debut.

“I came up to Seoul without any dancing experience. Six months before the debut, we underwent hard training. All I did was dance, except for the time when I ate and slept,” he said. The training was particularly hard because every move is intentional.
