An array of series by top directors and stars are set to be released in the coming weeks, with genres ranging from sitcom and romantic comedy to a mystery drama.

Director Lee Byeong-heon, who is known for leading the hit comedy film "Extreme Job" (2019) and the romantic comedy series "Be Melodramatic" (2019), is releasing a new sitcom, "Unicorn," as a creative director.

Coupang Play's new original, written by TV personality and screenwriter Yoo Byung-Jae, follows the chaotic struggles of people at a startup, led by its CEO, Steve (Shin Ha-kyun).

Along with the narcissistic, fanatical boss, the workers at the company, including money-hungry Ashley (Won Jin-a) and mysterious Jay (Lee You-Jin), must find their way to survive in the tough startup world.

The series, set to hit the streaming service on Aug. 26, is directed by Kim Hye-young, who co-led Lee Byeong-heon's series "Be Melodramatic."

Director Kim Hee-won, whose previous work includes the hit series "Vincenzo" (2021) and "The Crowned Clown" (2019), will also come back with new series, "Little Women," on Sept. 3.

The new tvN mystery drama revolves around three close-knitted sisters, In-ju (Kim Go-eun), In-kyeong (Nam Ji-hyun), and In-hye (Park Ji-hu) who were born and raised in a poverty-stricken family.

The eldest, In-ju, who works as a bookkeeper at a company, gets involved in a case that turns her life upside down. Faced with a mysterious case, the three sisters find their way to fight against the wealthiest, most powerful family in the country.

The series is written by Chung Seo-kyung, who scripted director Park Chan-wook's Cannes-winning film "Decision to Leave" (2022), and the horror film "Thirst" (2009).

Actors Jung Il-woo and Kwon Yu-ri have met up again for the romantic crime series "Good Job," since their previous series "Bossam: Steal the Fate" last year.

The upcoming series on ENA, scheduled to air on Aug. 24, revolves around a wealthy CEO Eun Sun-woo (Jung) who secretly also works as a private detective.

One day, he comes across Don Se-ra (Kwon), who has a supernatural ability, and the two join forces to solve crimes.

The series is led by Kang Min-gu, who co-directed the popular 2020 series "Itaewon Class."

Actors Kwon Sang-woo and Sung Dong-il are also joining hands again for another comedy in Wavve's new original series "Critical X," about four years after the comedy film "The Accidental Detective 2: In Action" in 2018.

The upcoming comedy series, set to premiere on Sept. 2, revolves around a middle-aged man (Kwon), who went to a prestigious university and used to work at a big company.

He thought he had it all until his life starts falling apart when he gets fired from work and his stock portfolio value and housing price plummet. Financially struggling, he tries to find his way out of the crisis with his wife and web novelist (Lim Se-mi) and his neighbor (Sung) by his side.

The series is led by filmmaker Kim Jeong-hoon, who led the comedy flick "The Accidental Detective" (2015) and the action film "The Pirates: The Last Royal Treasure" (2022), and is scripted by the writer of the comedy show "SNL Korea," Kwak Kyung-yoon.
