YG Entertainment has arbitrarily terminated its contract with scandalized Seungri of K-pop boy band BIGBANG, while MakeUS did the same to singer Jung Joon-young, as a sex/drug scandal against the two young celebs spirals out of control.

The termination came two days after Seungri announced his retirement from the K-pop scene to take responsibility for the scandal and one day after Jung returned from the United States after cutting short his TV filming there.

"The contract with Seungri has been terminated," YG said in a statement. "We are sorry for all things that happened to Seungri and caused concerns." The label apologized for its artist's alleged misconduct.

MakeUS said it "felt no need" to maintain its contract with Jung.

The two celebrities will be summoned one Thursday to face police questioning over their respective activities ― sex-for-business favors allegations against Seungri and allegations that Jung filmed and distributed videos of himself having sexual relations with girlfriends.

While Seungri denies the allegations, Jung has admitted his offences.

"I admit to all of my sins," Jung said in a statement on Wednesday. "I filmed women without their consent, shared the videos in a group chat room and behaved without feeling any sense of guilt."

Seungri is set to enlist in March, but this could be deferred if necessary. Even if he joins the Army, military police would continue the investigation.

Jung has been removed from all TV programs in which he has appeared, including KBS TV's "2 Days & 1 Night."
