Cast members of the reality program Infinite Challenge will appear in rapper Psysnew song Gentleman, his agency says. Two members —Yoo Jae-seok and No Hong-chul —were featured in the music video for the 36-year-old stars mega-hit, Gangnam Style.
All seven members Yoo, No, Park Myeong-su, Jeong Jun-ha, Jeong Hyeong-don, Haha and Gil will feature in the new music video, YG Entertainment announced. The filming will take place in spots throughout Seoul for three days starting Sunday.
Initially, only three members from Infinite Challenge and Gain of the girl group Brown-eyed Girls were to appear in Psys video, but the rapper decided to include all seven members.
Psy will premiere Gentleman publicly at a concert April 13 in Seoul.
Psy was a frequent guest on the popular program before his meteoric rise to global stardom in 2012, and he maintains cordial relationships with the cast.
He tapped into those friendships, inviting Yoo and No to appear in his Gangnam Style music video. Psy later invited the two and HaHa to guest at his New Years Eve concert at Times Square in New York in 2012.
Gain is expected to present some dance moves from her groups hit song Abracadabra, which may be incorporated into Psys choreography to produce easy to follow movements.
Psy will unveil his new song online April 12, before his concert at the Seoul World Cup Stadium in Mapo, Seoul, the following day.
Titled HAPPENING, the concert, with a budget of 3 billion won ($2.65 million) will gauge whether the singer/rapper can replicate the success of his first global hit.
After breaking onto the world stage, Psy became the highest-paid Korean celebrity last year, earning more than $40 million in sales in concerts and commercials.
