K-pop girl group TWICE has added two more concerts in the U.S. after selling out all the tickets for its prescheduled shows.
According to the group's management company, JYP Entertainment, Tuesday, TWICE will have concerts in Los Angeles, Feb. 15, and in New York, Feb. 27, as part of its world tour titled, “TWICE 4TH WORLD TOUR III.” Initially, the group was planning to stage only five concerts in major cities, including Oakland and Atlanta, from Feb. 16 to Feb. 26. But following the lightning-fast sales of all tickets, JYP decided to add more shows.
“Thanks to love and support from TWICE's global fans, we decided to hold two more concerts in the U.S.,” the agency said in a statement.
TWICE's new world tour is slated to open with three concerts on the first leg in Seoul from Dec. 24 to Dec. 26. The K-pop act will also hold concerts in countries other than Korea and the U.S. in the coming months, but JYP has not fully disclosed the locations and dates yet.
TWICE, comprised of Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung and Tzuyu, burst onto the K-pop scene in 2015 with the EP, “The Story Begins.” The JYP stars, known for hits such as "Cheer Up" (2016) and "Heart Shaker" (2017), recently grabbed the No. 3 spot on Billboard's main albums chart with their third full-length album, “Formula of Love: O+T=<3.”
