K-pop singer Soyou will release a new solo single, with lyrics written by singer Lee Hyo-ri and music composed by rapper Babylon.
The artist's agency Starship Entertainment announced Wednesday that "Soyou will make a comeback with a new single, which will be released at 6 p.m. on March 11."
"While Lee Hyo-ri and Babylon were working on the song, they thought it would be great with Soyou's voice. So they offered the song to her," it said.
This will be Soyou's first work in about eight months since she released the single "GOTTA GO" last July.
The artist debuted as a member of the four-piece girl group Sistar in 2010 with the song "Push Push."
After it disbanded in 2017, the singer made the shift to solo work. She has released several hits, collaborating with other musicians including Henry and Baekhyun, and has taken part in soundtracks for various TV shows, including "Mr. Queen" and "18 Again."
