JTBC's drama "The World of the Married" has set another viewership rating record with its final episode aired Saturday.
The series wrapped up with a 28.4 percent rating, the highest of the series, and of all cable channel dramas.
JTBC's 2019 hit drama "Sky Castle" held the previous record ― 23.8 percent ―, but the network's latest offering has topped the record since two weeks ago.
The Korean adaptation of the BBC series "Dr. Foster" has been the talk of the town with its intense storyline and the performances of bonafide lead actors ― Kim Hee-ae and Park Hae-jun.
The story revolves around successful doctor Sun-woo (Kim), whose perfect life falls apart after she finds out about her husband's affair.
Kim said through her agency YG Entertainment, Sunday, that she put all of her energy into playing the emotional character.
"This character had various dimensions, which drew me to take this role," she said. "I had to stay focused to keep up with the emotional rollercoaster of the character… but it all came as rewarding at the end."
