Known as the “queen of the ballad,” singer Lee Soo-young is making a comeback with a single “Finding myself“(literal translation), 11 years after her ninth album “DAZZLE” in 2009.
The artist's agency New Era Project announced Sunday that Lee would release the song on Tuesday, to mark 21 years since she made her debut.
“Soo-young has been making appearances through various outlets, but the fans have been waiting for her comeback as the 'queen of the ballad,” the agency said. “To fulfill fans' hope, we have worked hard on this since last year.”
The singer debuted in 1999 with the album “I Believe,” and shot to stardom soon after. She became one of the most popular singers in the early 2000s with numerous hit songs, such as “Lalala,” and “Whistle to Me.”
Since her album in 2009, she has been starring in TV shows ― reality and audition programs ― and took part in soundtracks for TV dramas, including “Blade Man” (2014) and “Phantom” (2012).
