Grammy Award-winning star Ariana Grande is following Red Velvet's Yeri on Instagram, the first time the celebrity has followed a Korean artist.

Yeri left a video message on Google Play Korea's YouTube channel, saying she has been a huge Grande fan since her junior high school days and was eager to meet her. Yeri has frequently mentioned how the artist is her inspiration.

Grande noticed her from the message and followed her on Instagram. Among the 820 people the artist follows, Yeri is the first Korean celebrity.

Although she did not follow him on social media, Ariana took a picture with Korean singer Jungkook of BTS, also a huge Grande fan.

Ariana Grande-Butera, an American singer, songwriter and actress, has a strong fandom in Korea who appreciate her powerful voice and singing techniques. Her songs include “7 rings,” “thank u, next,” “One Last Time” and “Bang Bang.”
