FNC Entertainment terminated its contract with Choi Jong-hoon, formerly with K-pop band F.T. Island, amid further additional allegations against him.
The move came after a bribery accusation was added to the allegations of his involvement in sharing sex videos, according to StarNews, Thursday.
Earlier this month, Choi was found to be involved in an ongoing sex and corruption scandal, which revolves around former idol Seungri and singer-songwriter Jung Joon-young. Choi faced allegations of sharing sex videos, corrupt ties with police and driving under the influence in 2014.
The additional accusation against Choi was reported Thursday, according to Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. Choi is booked for trying to bribe the police officer who caught him driving under the influence of alcohol.
He announced he was leaving the band through his social media account on March 14.
The agency did not disclose the exact date of the termination.
“We have lost trust in the relationship with the artist and decided to end the contract”, the agency said on Thursday.
