Cube terminates contract with HyunA. Yonhap

Singer HyunA has left management agency Cube Entertainment after a falling out over her private life.

In August, HyunA, 26, revealed her relationship with E'Dawn, a member of boy band Pentagon, without the agency's approval. After her bombshell announcement, Cube abruptly said the two had fired.

The couple were said to have learned through news reports ― not the agency ― that they had been fired.

The decision, however, was later retracted amid strong criticism from fans.

Since then, there had been no official reaction from the agency or the couple, but Cube Entertainment finally announced on Monday that they had "reached a mutual agreement to terminate their contract with HyunA."

"We express our sincere gratitude toward the artist and her fans," the agency said.

However, the agency has yet to make any official announcement about E'Dawn.

HyunA is a former member of girl bands Wonder Girls and 4minute. She went public about her relationship with E'dawn, saying they had been dating for two years.

The two also worked as members of K-pop trio Triple-H.

E'Dawn is on temporary leave from Pentagon and Triple H.
