Actor Lee 'missing' for a week

Actor Lee Jong-soo has been out of contact for a week and his family is considering reporting to police that he is missing.

He is said to be staying somewhere in the United States. He was last seen on a U.S.-bound plane on March 15. It was days after friends accused him of fraud.

In one case, the actor is suspected of having borrowed 30 million won ($28,300) from a friend but didn't return the money by a promised date. In another case, he was accused of receiving 850,000 won from a friend on a promise that he would preside over a wedding ceremony, but he didn't appear.

His agency said it is trying to contact him but his phone is off and there is no way to get in touch with him. His family is also said to be unable to contact him.

Rumors have it that there are more people who were “duped” by the actor, many of whom are considering suing him for alleged fraud.
