Paleontologists have found the world’s largest dinosaur, a new species of the titanosaur that is about 102 million years old. It is 10 percent larger than Argentinosaurus, the previous largest dinosaur.
Fossils from the yet unnamed herbivore were discovered in Argentina. It is estimated to have weighed about 70 metric tons and be 37 meters long, equal to the weight of 14 elephants and as long as four double-decker buses.
With the dig uncovering more than 220 bones and 80 teeth, the paleontologists analyzed that the site contained seven dinosaurs, all belonging to the new species.
