Man unplugs granddad's respirator to charge phone

A man who unplugged his grandfather’s respirator to charge his phone nearly killed the old man.

Adrian Hinojo, 26, was visiting his grandfather who was in a Madrid hospital because of lung disease, according to Spanish media outlet Mundo-Bizarro. The grandfather started having serious breathing problems when Hinojo unplugged the machine to charge the phone.

Luckily, a medical team soon came after the grandson pushed an emergency bell.

Hinojo said “it was totally a mistake” and that he was “very sorry for his foolish deeds.”
